To enable a worker to use the WhatsApp Assistant, first make sure you have:
Registered the worker with their phone number in the format with country code: e.g. +39XXXXXXXXXX. How to add a worker
Assigned the worker to the construction site where you want to enable them. How to assign a worker to a construction site
There are two ways to enable the WhatsApp Assistant. Choose whichever is more convenient.
Method 1: From the construction sites list (quick method)
From the construction sites list in "Projects" > "All construction sites", click the three dots to the right of the construction site.
Select "Assign workers".
Select WhatsApp Assistant for the workers you want to allow to send DDTs, work reports or files.
Click "Save" and then confirm sending the WhatsApp message.
The worker is now authorized and will receive a WhatsApp message from the Pillar construction site assistant.
Method 2: From the Workers section of the construction site
From the left side menu, go to "Projects" > "All construction sites".
Click the construction site where you want to enable the worker.
From the construction site side menu, click "Workers".
In the workers table you will find the "WhatsApp Assistant" column. From here you can see who you have enabled to send you files, DDTs and work reports.
Click the name of the worker you want to enable or disable.
In the window that opens, click "Authorize WhatsApp" and confirm sending the message to the worker.
What happens after enabling
The worker will automatically receive a WhatsApp message explaining how to use the assistant. You don't need to do anything else!
In the "Files" section of the construction site you will find all the images, documents and videos sent by the workers via WhatsApp. When the assistant receives a specific document such as a DDT or a work report, it is saved directly in the dedicated section and Pillar's AI will extract all its data.
Now that you have enabled the WhatsApp Assistant you can say goodbye to lost DDTs and work reports!
