ℹ️ When a quote is signed by the client, you can turn it into a construction site with one click: all the activities and prices of the quote are carried over into the construction site program, which is your starting point for managing the works.
When can you convert a quote?
The quote must be in Signed status. If it is still in Draft, Sent or Rejected, the action does not appear: first mark the quote as Signed.
Each quote can be linked to a single construction site. Once converted, you cannot convert it again into another construction site.
How to convert a quote?
Open the quote's (⋯) menu (from the quotes list or inside the quote itself) and click "Convert to construction site".
A guided procedure opens. Fill in the construction site details:
Construction site name (required)
City (required)
Status of the construction site (required: for example Design or Execution)
Client, address, start and end work dates, CIG and CUP (optional). Client and address, if present in the quote, are already filled in.
If you want, in the next step assign the workers to the construction site (optional).
Confirm: Pillar creates the construction site and takes you directly to its page.
What is copied into the construction site
The new construction site inherits from the quote:
All the activities with their respective categories (super categories, categories, sub categories)
The price analysis of each activity (materials, labor, subcontracts and the other cost items)
The measurements, the quantities and the prices
The attachments of the activities
This data becomes the construction site's planned: the starting point against which you then compare the actual costs (hours, materials, vehicles) as the works progress.
What happens to the quote
The quote stays where it is: it is neither modified nor deleted. After conversion it is shown as associated with a construction site and in its menu you find the option "Open associated construction site" to jump to the linked construction site.
‼️ A quote associated with a construction site can no longer be edited and cannot be converted again. If you need to change something, duplicate the quote (from the ⋯ menu) and work on the copy.
Unlinking the program from the construction site
If you linked the wrong quote, or you want to free up the quote to edit it or convert it into another construction site, you can unlink the program from the construction site.
Open the construction site and go to the Program section.
Click the (⋯) menu at the top right of the program and choose "Delete program".
In the confirmation window type delete in the indicated field and click Confirm.
What happens:
All the program's activities created from the quote are removed.
The hours already recorded on the construction site remain: they are not deleted, but they are no longer linked to the program's activities.
The quote becomes available again (no longer associated): you can edit it or convert it again, even into another construction site.
‼️ The operation is not reversible: once deleted, the program cannot be restored.
